Congress President Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law, Robert Vadra has purchased 50,000 tons of onion at Rs 15 per kg yesterday, said sources in the Congress Party. The shocking news is likely to rock Parliament for next entire session, possibility of hauling important bills like Food Security.

"Robert purchased 50 thousand tons of onion for Rs 15 per kg yesterday when the market rate was around Rs 80 per kg and expected to go at least to Rs 100 per kg from D L Falero, a Gurgaon based onion trader," said a senior leader of Congress Party, requesting his name to keep confidential.

The leader said that Vadra will sell onion step by step in next few months at an average of Rs 100 per kg. The onion has kept in the godowns of Food Corporation of India (FCI) for free of cost, using his contacts. According to the leader, D L Falero provided an unsecured loan to Robert for purchasing the onion.

The leader said "We are not aware about the real reason for selling onion at such a low rate to Robert plus providing loan to purchase it."

According to sources, Vadra used contacts of Sonia Gandhi for purchasing the onion at almost free of cost. The sources also added that CAG has already seized accounts of D L Falero and found that D L Falero has given an unsecured loan of Rs 75 lakhs to Vadra at free of cost. The CAG has estimated that windfall gains from onion deal will be at least Rs 425 crore.

CAG Estimates On Onion Deal

The development will rock the Parliament and outside Parliament as both BJP and Aam Aadmi Party are going to protest against Vadra and Congress President.

"I can't believe that Damadji is involved in onion deal. We will raise this issue in the Parliament," said Sushma Swaraj, opposition leader of Lok Sabha.

Aam Aadmi Party Supremo, Arvind Kejriwal said "I will go through all the news papers. Collect the data for next month and after 6 months we will make a shocking news that Robert Vadra was involved in onion deal."

UPA Government is planning to impose tax on its neighbor countries, specifically on Pakistan and China for violating ceasefire agreement, as border incursion and ambushes from both these countries are rising.

"We want to send a strong message to both these countries. They can't get away with what they are doing right now. If they want to do some kind of violence or enter in our borders, they will have to pay tax," said India's Finance Minister P Chidambaram in Parliament on Monday.

Chidambaram informed in the session that he had discussion with India's Defence Minister AK Antony over the strain on relations with both the countries if the new tax would be imposed.

"Our silence should not be treated as our impotence. We can charge tax on you if you enter in our border. The tax will be 10% more if you enter along with terrorists," said Chidambaram.

While a panel is going to discuss on the tax rates, Chidambaram told in the Parliament that the rates would not be lesser than 10%. He also said that currently poor countries like Bangladesh are waived off the tax and their citizens can continue to enter in India freely.

BJP is all set to corner UPA Government in Parliament on Tuesday over a report that links Congress president Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra to land deals in Haryana, a day after the Congress's own MP called for an inquiry into illicit land deals in the state. According to sources, BJP leader Sushma Swaraj is going to demand Vadra's resignation from the post of son-in-law of the nation.

"Sushmaji is readying her speech over the demand of Vadra's resignation for his 'sham deals' in Haryana. She will ask Soniaji to tell Robert Vadra to vacate esteemed position of son-in-law of the nation immediately and stop using benefits of the post," said a senior leader in BJP who was party of the developments.

On Monday, the BJP's notice to discuss the report was not allowed in the Rajya Sabha, as it mentioned Sonia Gandhi, who is a member of the other House.

BJP is expected to bring up the issue again today, Congress sources said the party had asked Randeep Singh Surjewala, the Urban Development minister in the party-ruled Haryana government, to respond to the charges.

"With controversy has national interest, BJP has to put the question of why Vadra is still holding his current post," said Sushma Swaraj, indicating that she is seriously thinking of demanding his resignation.

In a major proof that Pakistan army is involved in the killings of Indian soldiers, India's intelligence agency Research & Analysis Wing found video tapes of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) Chief Hafiz Saeed showing his penis to Pakistan Army personnel as well as terrorists who were to cross border and attack Indian soldiers.

"We found these tapes from our sources in Pakistan military. Saeed came to border just 2 days back before the attacks took place.
